Manufacturing
Cloud for manufacturing · ERP · Plant IT Cloud and IT for manufacturers. Plants running, data protected, ERP in the cloud.
From growing MSMEs to multi-plant enterprises, manufacturers depend on ERP, plant systems and email that simply cannot stop. DevOps TechLab moves critical systems to the cloud, connects every plant securely and protects production from ransomware and outages.

Challenges
What puts production at risk.
Six IT challenges we see across manufacturers of every size, and how we address each one.
ERP, file shares and plant applications run on hardware in a back room, with no tested recovery.
StartupSMBEnterprisePlants and warehouses need head-office systems, but links are slow, unreliable or unsecured.
SMBEnterpriseOne infected laptop can lock ERP and plant systems and halt dispatch for days.
StartupSMBEnterpriseMachines, cameras and office laptops share one network, so a single incident spreads everywhere.
SMBEnterpriseLarge customers and overseas buyers send security questionnaires and expect evidence.
SMBEnterpriseSupervisors and line staff share devices and accounts, with no control when people leave.
StartupSMBEnterpriseERP to the cloud
Move ERP without stopping the plant.
A planned, five-step move for your ERP and business applications, timed around production.
Assess
Map the ERP, its integrations, users, plants and printers, and agree what “working” means.
Plan the cutover
Pick a weekend or planned shutdown, with a rollback plan and sign-off from finance and production.
Build and pilot
Build the cloud environment in an Indian region and run a pilot with key users.
Cut over
Move the data, switch users and printers, and check each plant is working before Monday.
Hypercare
Engineers on hand for the first weeks to fix issues before they slow production.
Whether you run Tally, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics or a custom ERP, the approach is the same. Eligible AWS migrations can be MAP-funded.
Plant connectivity
Every plant connected, every link secured.
Head office, plants and warehouses connected to the cloud with backup links, segmented networks and monitoring.
- Plants and warehouses. Secure site-to-site links to the cloud and head office, with a backup connection.
- Local edge where needed. A small local server keeps critical plant functions running if the internet drops.
- Segmented networks. Machines and cameras kept apart from office laptops and guest Wi-Fi.
- Cloud in India. ERP, files and backups in an Indian cloud region, reachable from every site.
- Monitoring. Every link and site watched, with alerts before a plant notices a problem.
Ransomware and recovery
An attack should not stop dispatch.
Six layers of protection so that, if ransomware gets in, production and invoicing are back quickly.
Immutable backups
Backup copies that cannot be changed or deleted, even by an administrator account.
A copy off site
Backups kept in a separate cloud account and region within India.
Endpoint and email protection
Phishing filtering and protection on every laptop and server.
Segmentation
Plant systems isolated so an office infection cannot spread to production.
Tested restores
ERP and file restores tested on a schedule, with the time recorded.
Recovery runbook
Who does what, in which order, to get dispatch running again.
Shop floor and workplace
IT for the office and the shop floor.
Email, devices and access for every role, from the boardroom to the production line.
- Email and Teams for every role
Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace for office staff, with frontline plans for supervisors and line workers.
- Shared shop-floor devices
Tablets and kiosks set up for shift use, locked to the apps each line needs.
- Managed laptops and phones
Devices enrolled, encrypted and wiped remotely when people leave.
- One GST invoice
Cloud, licences and devices billed together, below list price.
Customer audits
Ready for customer and export audits.
Large customers and overseas buyers increasingly audit their suppliers’ IT. We help you pass with evidence.
- Access controlNamed accounts, MFA and quarterly access reviews.
- Backups and recoveryBackups, restore tests and recovery records.
- Network securityFirewalls, segmentation and secure remote access.
- Patch and vulnerabilityPatching status and scan results for every system.
- Data protectionEncryption and handling of personal data under the DPDP Act.
- Incident responseA written plan, contacts and records of incidents.
We hold both ourselves, and we help you answer customer and export security questionnaires with evidence.
Engagement models
Assess, move, run.
Start with a review of your IT, move what needs to move, and let us run it so your team can focus on production.
Assess
A review of your server room, ERP, network, backups and security, with a prioritised plan and budget.
- Findings in plain language
- Risks ranked by impact on production
Move
ERP, file servers and plant applications moved to the cloud with a planned cutover. Eligible AWS migrations can be MAP-funded.
- Cutover agreed with production
- Engineers on site at go-live
Run
Managed cloud, backups, monitoring and IT support for office and shop floor, on one invoice.
- Monthly health report
- Tested recovery, every quarter
FAQ
Questions from plant and IT heads.
- Can our ERP run in the cloud?
- In most cases, yes. Tally, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics and custom ERPs can run in an Indian cloud region. We assess integrations, licensing and printing before recommending a move.
- What happens if a plant loses internet?
- We design for it: a backup connection, and where needed a small local server that keeps critical functions running until the link returns.
- How long will production be affected by the move?
- Cutovers are planned for a weekend or scheduled shutdown, with a rollback plan, so production is not interrupted.
- Can you protect us from ransomware?
- No one can promise an attack will never happen. We make sure it cannot stop you for long: immutable backups, segmented networks and tested recovery.
- Do you support our plant and shop-floor staff?
- Yes. We set up frontline licences, shared devices and access for supervisors and line workers, managed centrally.
- Can you bill in INR?
- Yes. Cloud, licences and devices on one GST invoice, below list price.

Talk to an engineer
Start with a 20-minute review. Leave with a plan.
An engineer looks at your current setup, points out what’s costing you money or risk, and tells you what we’d fix first. No sales deck, no obligation to go ahead.
Every month you wait, the bill grows, the audit gets harder and the AI project waits another quarter.
